Although nothing highly confidential is kept in the general Members’ area of the site, security is very tight – see security information in left-hand column.
As a member of the Rotary Club of St Neots you will have been sent your login details. These should never be divulged to anyone outside the Club.
If, by some chance, you do not have those details, please get in touch. If it is simply a case of forgetting your password, you are able to reset it yourself. Click on the ‘Lost your password?’ link and enter your username (all lower case) or registered email address. You will be sent a link to reset it. Please ensure that any new password is a strong one. It should be at least seven characters long and use upper and lower case letters, numbers and, ideally, also symbols like ! ” ? $ % ^ & ).
The log in and out form is at the top of the right-hand column.
N.B. Your user-name is all one word and must be entered in lower case letters.
You can leave the ‘remember me’ box ticked to make future login easier ON YOUR OWN COMPUTER OR DEVICE.
‘Dashboard‘ takes you to your profile, where you can update your details. This page also allows you to change your password.
In case you should forget to fully log out, please make it a rule to
NEVER ACCESS THIS AREA OF THE WEBSITE ON A PUBLIC COMPUTER.
A few other points:
- Don’t worry if you forget to log out, on your own computer. The program will automatically log you out after 15 minutes of inactivity.
- You get 5 chances to input your details before you are locked out for 30 minutes. This is a security feature, to prevent ‘brute force’ attacks.
- Again, to ensure security, you can only access this area from a maximum of 5 IP addresses in any 30 day period – something to be aware of if you are away from home and using a variety of places to access the internet. This restriction can be lifted if you let us know in advance of your travels.
