Joining Rotary

Rotary International is looking for men and women of all ages and backgrounds to join the community of Rotary clubs throughout Great Britain and Ireland; to use their time, talents, professional skills and energy to  improve the lives of people in their local communities and others around the world.

By belonging to Rotary, you can enjoy the benefits of business networking, personal development, meeting new friends, hearing inspiring speakers, having a great deal of fun and experiencing that special sense of fulfillment that comes from achieving something really worthwhile.

Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland (RIBI) is an Association of private clubs, members of which abide by the Constitution and By-laws of the Association, and by the Constitution of their own club.

Club members, as stated in the RIBI Club Constitution, should be “adult persons of good character and good business, professional and/or community reputation” and agree to uphold high moral and ethical standards in their “personal, business and community life” as well as in their interaction with other people generally.

If Rotary sounds like the organisation for you, you can register your interest at

Membership of a club is by invitation only, at the discretion of the members.  If you are not accepted into a particular Club it should not be taken personally.  It may simply be because the Club in question already has members who are in the same line of work as you or they are not seeking additional members at the time of your application.  If you are turned down by one Rotary Club there is nothing to stop you applying to join another.
